Building Description and Layout
Barclay on Beacon is a tasteful 15 story brick structure with beige tones and elongated vertical windows. Each of the 111 units boasts a private patio for ground level units to private balconies for units on the second floor and up. It is a towering elegant concrete with sharp corners and clean lines. The appearance is a beveled square with the balconies and layout of the floor plans protruding beyond the smooth building edges. The glass entrance leads to a cozy and tasteful lobby area with a stark and impressive front desk and seating area. The exterior has large manicured trees and shrubbery encased by the same beige bricks of the structure.
Building Features and Amenities
This is a card entry complex; however, a doorman is also available. Residents have a concierge service that accepts packages, on-site around the clock maintenance, a rooftop pool that is available during the warms months. In addition, there is a large laundry facility on the ground floor.
Bike storage is offered to residents. There is a fitness center located at the top level with windows that have panoramic views of the city. Residents have access to a plethora of the latest in exercise equipment for strength training, cardio and more.
Residents with vehicles have an option for either garage parking or covered on-street parking. The parking fee can be assigned or at tandem for $200 for one space and $300 for two. This building allows pets for a fee. There is a monthly rent for dogs and cats of $50. There are restrictions on breeds and weight. Interested parties should contact management for details. The office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. They can be reached in person, by phone and fax.
Floor Plans and Features
This complex has three floor plans. There is a one bedroom with one bathroom. In addition, there is a one bedroom with one full and one half bathrooms. The two bedrooms come with two full bathrooms. The master bedroom for this floor plan has a private bathroom. Each apartment has the hot water and heat included with rent. Each unit is wired for cable and has access to the internet. There are ceiling fans in some units.
All kitchens have black or white appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, stove, and refrigerator. The flooring can be ceramic or plain tile. The cabinets are accented with a white or black backdrop to the appliances and dark grey corian countertops. The bathrooms are all white with some flooring of black and white tiling. Hardwood or parquet floors are in the common areas, while carpeting is in the bedrooms. There is ample closet space for personal items and storage.
The one bedroom, one full bathroom has almost 700 square feet. The second floor plan has a unit with a half bathroom and comes in with 1,000 square feet. There is a dining and living room combo space with a floor to ceiling sliding door leading to an impressive balcony. An exception to the last floor plan is a separate small dining room area situated next to the kitchen. Additionally, there is a walk-in closet for this unit as well.
The two bedrooms unit floor plan has 1,200 square feet. There is an expansive living room area leading to the balcony. In addition, this unit has a larger dining room space tucked in a corner next to the kitchen. This unit has a large walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
